- Mechanical polishing aluminium profile is based on the grinding and rolling effect of very small polishing powder, removing the thin layer of metal on the surface of the sample. Polishing is often used to enhance the appearance of the product, to prevent the pollution of the instrument, to remove the oxidation, to create a reflective surface, or to prevent corrosion.
